George Lawrence Stone's two earliest books cover the true basics: rudiments. As one of the earliest presidents of NARD, the National Association of Rudimental Drummers, Stone was well-known for judging drum competitions. These two will soon be available in one 9" x 12" new book titled Stone Rudiments. The new book will contain Military Drum Beats with the original 26 Essential Rudiments of Drumming, and the rearrangement and reformatting of Frank E. Dodge's Dodge Drum Chart which includes over 400 standard drumming measures broken down by pattern. These two titles together are highly useful for the drum corps teacher or player as  introductions to rhythms and traditional pieces.
